Welcome to E4AI: English for AI — Effective Prompting, Critical Thinking, and Practical AI Literacy.
This course helps English learners use AI tools in safe, clear, and useful ways. You will practice English while you learn how to write prompts, compare choices, check sources, describe visuals, prepare a short speaking script, and explain your thinking.
AI can help you think and communicate. AI does not make the final decision for you.
- 10 synchronous lessons, 2 hours each
- homework after each lesson, about 30-60 minutes
- 20 live instructional hours
1.1 What You Will Make
You will build a portfolio called:
English AI Decision Toolkit
Your toolkit will include prompts, vocabulary, sentence frames, decision matrices, source-checking work, a visual description, a speaking script, a privacy/data safety checklist, and a final reflection or presentation.

- You protect private information.
- You check provider privacy/data settings where possible.
- You check important answers with sources.
- You make the final decision.
Do not put private information into an AI tool. Do not upload private documents. Use safe examples and public information for class practice. Opting out is helpful, but it is not enough. Do not type private information into AI tools.
